Art90266 raises over $35K for South Bay arts & education in 2014June 05, 2014
It's official, Art90266 officially raised more than thirty five thousand dollars for arts and education in the South Bay in 2014. The first twenty thousand dollars will go to the Redondo Beach Education Foundation to fund trips to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art for over 1,400 children in the South Bay. The remaining funds will help establish The LA25 Foundation for the Arts, a 501c3 non-profit dedicated to supporting local arts and education through community partnerships and artist in residency programs.
We'd like to thank the amazing artists whose time and talent make this event possible- Al Satterwhite, Bo Bridges, Anthony Friedkin, Alex Weinstein, Robert Waxman, Robert Ketchum, Brian Kingston, Tricia Strikfaden, Kathleen Keifer, Lauren Frick, Joseph Chiang, Rebecca Farr, Howard Murad, Jeff Berting, Favid Borgatta, Jessica Alley, Lee Tunila, Gerard Murphy, Jared Fredrickson and Jacquelin O'Sullivan's 1st grade dual immersion art classes at Washington Elementary. Without your dedication to your talents and remarkable willingness to share your gifts this event would not be possible. Thank you.
Also, we are very grateful for our continued partnership and support from Southbay magazine. Additional sponsors include Paolucci Communication Arts, with particular thanks to Christopher Salling, Shade Hotel, Vox DJ’s, Hollywood Shorts, Bank of Manhattan, The Hoffman Murphy Team, Lauzon & Euler and all the members of LA25. Additional thanks to Annette Alpern, Deputy Superintendent Redondo Beach Unified School District, for her support and creativity.
We believe deeply that giving children an opportunity to experience art and discover their own “artist within” will enhance their skills and their ability to think critically, as well as give them a healthier sense of self. Our children deserve as rich an exposure to the arts as we can provide.
Thank you all for making a very real difference in the lives of our children.
